Fireworks in Oakland
Celebrating Fourth of July this year seems hollow. What are we celebrating? The communities in Oakland have taken to the streets to protest racial inequality, terrorism, and murder. The community has also come together on this controversial holiday to celebrate in their own way, for their own reasons. I take my camera out to capture the huge displays of fireworks happening within feet of my street.
